While it is measured in individual cross-sections, total runout takes the measurement around and across the surface of the entire part in a 3D tolerance zone. When Used: Runout and its 3D component, Total runout, are very common symbols in GD&T due to the control they have on a rotating part. WebJan 1, 2024 · I presume you mean the axle/wheel flange run-out... there isn't a listing, just (page 30) a maximum of 0.030" axle shaft end play, a maximum of 0.003" differential case run out, and a pinion flange run out of 0.010" T.I.R. (whatever T.I.R. means...?). All I can say, is that I imagine the axle/wheel flanges should have very little run out...
