Unfortunately, due to some issues related to the wifi installing HoloISO is currently not a straightforward process, but this should change once Valve makes an updated Linux kernel available on their repository.

Runs great if your hardware supports it. Steam OS desktop is still the old version (pre-deck) and whatever steam os that's been released by valve would be the recovery image for the Steam deck itself.
