The wavelength of first line of balmer series
WebOct 16, 2024 · I am trying to calculate the wavelength for the first spectral line in a Balmer-series for a two times ionized lithium, Li 2 +. I know that the atomic number z is 3 for lithium and it is hydrogen-like since it has lost two of its electrons. I also know that the answer to this question is 72, 88 ⋅ 10 − 9 m. http://www.phys.utk.edu/labs/modphys/BalmerSeries.pdf
